To obtain accredited conditioner status, the applicant must show:
- The availability of a bank guaranty or security bond.
- Must show evidence of the intent of sufficient number of clients who will prevail of the services,
- Possesses adequate technology and a process that will allow satisfactory sampling and reliable counting of containers in accordance with BGE and Recyc-Quebec criteria of accuracy,
Conditioning and recycling organizations as defined in the Agreement are certified by Recyc-Quebec, with BGE’s support, in accordance with the recycler’s certification policy. Requests for certification must therefore be forwarded to Recyc-Quebec for evaluation.
Rights and Obligations
The conditioner is committed to accurately perform the counting, weighing, measuring, controlling, surveying and verifications according to the established guidelines. The conditioners must also remit to BGE all receipts issued in a given month within a reasonable delay to allow BGE to reimbourse the deposit to the recoverers and artisans in accordance with the delay stipulated in the agreement.
